TROX PROVIDES FRESH AIR IN THE TRIIIPLE TOWERS

High-tech plant consists of more than 40 aeration and deaeration systems

In October, the third tower was also handed over to the owners - TROX high-tech units ensure good and clean air in the TrIIIple building complex. A total of ten combined X-Cubes and more than 30 extract air units were installed. They enable living and working in the high-rise ensemble designed by the renowned Henke Schreieck team of architects and visible from afar between the business city TownTown and the green Vienna Prater.

The three towers, which stand in dialogue with each other, rise more than 100 metres into the air. Towers one and two offer space for around 500 condominiums and retirement flats. Tower three houses around 670 flats for students and young professionals. In addition, TrIIIple offers, among other things, a supermarket, a restaurant, a café and a kindergarten.

The high-tech systems from TROX Austria provide fresh air supply, an optimal indoor climate and filter odours and pollutants. "The project was very extensive in terms of planning," says Norbert Lex, Sales Manager of TROX Austria. "The fact that we kept to all schedules despite the Covid 19 lockdowns makes us quite proud."

The key data of the project:

A total of more than 40 ventilation units were installed in the TrIIIple towers: Ten combined X-CUBEs with air volumes ranging from 2,700 m3 to 13,000 m3 per hour and more than 30 extract air units with air volumes ranging from 900 m3 to 5,700m3 per hour.

The exhaust air units in the flats consist of a fan and a special filter that removes odours and pollutants.

The ventilation systems for the supermarket and offices are equipped with a rotary exchanger for heat recovery. For an optimal indoor climate in the offices, the corresponding system was additionally equipped with a steam humidifier - this allows a room humidity of up to 45 percent relative humidity to be achieved.

The ventilation units for restaurant, café, kindergarten and commercial use consist of two filter stages in the supply air, plate heat exchangers as heat recovery and heating and cooling coils.

The exhaust air devices are designed in such a way that, if required, they can be equipped with an activated carbon filter to absorb odors.
